It's a Girl

Vivianna Jo Gaio...... The newest member of our family is on the way. We are so excited for this experience. I thought this would be a good way to keep everyone in the loop with pictures and information, as well as just plain keeping in touch.
On Monday February 2nd we went to the doctor's office and found out the great news that we are having a daughter. We could hardly wait to find out. I didn't really have a preference one way or the other. A healthy baby was what we were hoping for. And the doctor said that everything looks great so far. They took measurements and estimated her weight at 7 ounces. Hard to believe that we were once that small. The heart rate checked out good also. It was very relieving to hear that all is well. I think after what happened the first 2 times, both of us were cautiously optimistic at the beginning of this pregnancy. So it is very reassuring every time we go and hear good news. And here we are, almost half way through the pregnancy. July 12th will be here before we know it. A new chapter of our lives will begin.
I think it's kind of ironic that before we found out the sex, we had Vivianna Jo already picked out as our "girl name." We briefly talked about "boy names" here and there, but did not have one in particular. Maybe it's just a coincidence, but it's funny how that worked out. Maybe next time we can have a "boy name" picked out and see if it happens again.
For those that don't know, Vivianna Jo will have the privilege of being named after 3 people. Her first name is the combination of both of my Grandmothers' names:Vivian and Anna. And Jo comes from CJ's Dad. I think it is a beautiful name that is also very meaningful.
I have enclosed some ultrasound pictures so you can all see what she looks like. Also, just a reminder, please don't tell Aunt Margaret we are having a girl. She wants to be surprised.
Talk to you all soon.
